Family.

Their parents had always waited for this day. But had seen it a little differently in their minds. The church all pretty in blues and whites. She so beautiful in her sinuous white gown. It was perfect. Right ahead, at the altar, waited her best friend, the love of her life. In a gown as fine as hers, she smiled as her bride walked towards her.

Labour.

She banged the door on him as he raised his voice. He skipped his dinner and she lay crying on the bed all night. The next morning, when the alarm went out, they turned around and looked into each other’s eyes. Their fight had just ended. Their love, just begun.
